Anyone interested in getting together this weekend and taking advantage of the weather?

No, really... My wife is going to be out of town and it would be much easier to stay out of trouble if I was riding around and enjoying this weekend's weather. :)

Im in NoVa and wouldn't mind a ride. My wife is out of town too but I have the DOG.
I would guess max 7 hours before he pops.

I'll check back in the morning Saturday.

I'm bringing the wife to Dulles on Saturday AM, but will check back first thing when I get back to the house (I guess around 11 am or so). I can roll with what ever. I just need to ride somewhere outside of the District. Dodging cabs is fun, but not as much fun as finding new twisties. Drop me a line, either here, or at shaunbarrows@gmail.com. If we can't catch up this weekend, we should line something up soon. Hope to hear from you guys. Have a great weekend.

Had a great ride with bitterpil yesterday. If anyone gets a chance to follow him on one of his "rides to nowhere", I would definitely recommend you jump at the chance. He knew a great selection of twisty back roads that looped us through the battle fields at Manassas, Virgiania. We ran ninty odd miles at a good clip. I had a blast.

    Hey Shaun,
Sounds like you guys really did it up. I am from up there in DC though I live in Atlanta now. I have been thinking of bringing my bike up. Would be good to hook up with you and ride. My people don't live far from you.

Where are these good roads around Manassas? I work up there but live near Richmond. I did see 3 VFRs on Sunday while I was working on 234 near Hoadly Rd. Was that you guys? One of them was white.
I did 300 miles yesterday out below Charlottesville. If you guys ever want to head south for a full day's ride, let me know. When I leave my house, the most I ride on any 4 lane road is 1 mile. The rest is back roads, most of them twisty, and a good bit of those are kneedraggin if you are so inclined.
I frequently ride during the week in the Manassas area with a friend who lives there. Maybe we could all hook up on a weekday sometime.

We drove from 234 and made a right on hoadly. I (John) ride a white and Shaun has a red one. It could have been us.

We met up in springfield then road Faifax pkwy to burkelake road in Fairfax. Clifton Road. Compton road old lee hwy through Gainsville. Vinthill road. Aden Road to 234 to hoadly to davisford to henderson back to clifton road back up to spring field. About 90-100Miles

Down where you were working on Sunday you have Joplin road which is Nice and Bristow road which is also very nice. We didn't ride either one of those two though.

Some are twisty some just have nice scenery.

    Good to know.
I do most of my riding in MD, but VA sounds good if I only knew where the
    nice roads were.

    Thanks.
