Is it an epic fail if you misspell Harley in your info under "My Ride"?

    KC-10 FE out...

510's spelling may be suffering over the price of the Road Glide.
My step father and one close friend both have road glides and love them. I'd never Want a Harley bagger for a ton of reasons. Not the smallest is the I rode one for work and it handled like a loaded cement truck. With the MSRP of the '08 still over $18K I'd be staggering to spell too.
Is this a good time to bring up I built my Yama-Hond-asaki- davidson cruiser/chopper for under $300 and it attracts more half nakid chicks than a Harley CVO?

A neighbor of mine is a Harley owner, infact he was bragging about his 110 ci stroker kit the other day. His dyno numbers sounded impressive and honestly I though that his 900lb tank would take me off the line, after all he's got me by 1000cc's, 50+ ft lbs torque, and a few hp's. (not to mention he's got more money in his engine than I paid for my bike)... We went out for a short ride and after him pulling countless hole shots from red lights I was getting reeled in on giving him a run...Or embarasing myself. Being the law abiding citizen that I am, I tried to keep my self control under check, but I just couldn't suppress it far enough...The 18 yr old came out in me and we lined up. I absolutely smoked him up to about 70mph! that when we let off. I'm sure he would have stayed in my mirror if infact we could have kept pouring the coal to em.
It was short, but enough to prove my point.
He wasn't at all upset, infact he later admitted that he also owns a Honda (cruiser of some sort) and that most of his Harley buddies also own Hondas for the long rides.
He also admitted that given the choice to own one bike that it would be a Honda.

If you go home one day and your dog is dead, your bike torched and your wife is has a tat on her forehead you'll know it was your PC neighbor on the Harley who did the deeds.

Some of those harleydoodchicas look like they might be a fatal attraction in terms of terminal dandruff and cannibal crotch crickets.

Some of those harleydoods do more than touch. Many are attracted to Chihuahuas especially. At least the WingDingers go for the stuffed Garfields.

LOL.. My 90lb Golden only bites his food. I think he would go home with Manson but not Karl Rove..;)

Truth told, one of my best buds is a sales manager at a HD store. Great guy but he knows the demographics upside down and bacwards and will tell anybody within earshot he's got three kids to feed..

In one thread here the dudes were talking about various "cool" bike sounds. One that is way cool IMO, is the sound of a HD K flatracker on a half mile with a high wall with short headers at about 5k RPM. A whiff of Castrol R tossed in for good measure is nice too.

My 15 lb Jack Russell would run off a rhinoceros if I opend the door for him.
My last bike was a harley lowrider with drag pipes, I only bought it because most of my friends were buying harleys. I tried & tried to like it, but it just wasn't me. Like some else said in another thread here, Harleys are 1950's technology for 2011 prices.

Went to Daytona International race track last weekend for the SX race spent Saturday taking in the sites I could only ride one demo, wife was with me, so the only ones open at 0830 was of course Harley had my choice of all the 2012s so I picked the 72 sportster not a bad ride but no smile factor and with all the dealer add ons your looking at close to $13,000 to buy it, at that price I could buy a 2010 1200vrf auto and the 2012 CBR250. I didn't see a Honda demo going on but it was nice to look at all the new bikes in one location. Cheers. [IMG]

A couple of years back there was a blurb in CW mag about the largest HD dealership in the world opening in Daytona in time for the great Southern Meccatrek. Some guy writes in the next issue that he rode his older fully restored HD to Daytona for the swampboogiefest. So he goes to this new multi-story dealership to get an oil change and they don't know how to do it.

To be honest, that first HD didn't really fall over, apparently it was just trying to eject asshats who could wreck out for no apparent reason...
