    Just tighten it till it strips and then back off 1/4 turn.

    I found a digital torque wrench on Amazon that measures down to 5 in/lbs and from hat the tech at Ron Ayers states that those 8mm flange bolts on the crankcase cover are to be torqued to 9 in/lbs.
