My 04 doesn't require much action on the clutch for shifts. I pull it in about 25%, then all the way at a light or putting it back in first from neutral. As for your key, only the dealer can sell you blanks. I got my blanks at the dealer ($20), then went to my local locksmith to get cut ($2). I have a double bouble on my bike, I like it much better, especially when there's a good head wind on long rides. Keeps it off the chest. Does direct a bit more turbualnc to the helmet though. But great for in the rain, barely get a drop on me!

thanks. I found my key. And the blanks I picked up today were wrong! So I have to go back to the dealer and get the right ones. That sucks.

can you change the color of the intrument cluster lights? I see in this pic there are certain easily accessible bulbs. But do these provide all the light? or are there other bulbs somewhere?

    1. key # is on your ignition, & takes about 3-5 minutes to remove & look @ the # (need a magnifieng glass for my tired eyes to read since very small) & cost me 7 bucks each to make a spare.
Oh & yes some shops ask for registration, & some don't - the thieves know which ones don't

    2. KC10 is right, the double bouble displaces air better & smoother than the raised sport-touring types.

    3. Take off your rims & tyres & have them blasted then powder coated silver, & save a lot of cash vs buying another set

    4. Clutch works best after moving @ 50% to 60% "when familier" with your gears/bike, other than that you should use full squeeze of the lever(Newbie, learning, getting used to a new bike).

I have a speed shifter on most of my bikes & I can use the clutch or not up shifting, because the sensor deadens the engine when I up shift from the sensor in the shift arm (where I can leave my throttle wide open as well), & use the clutch down shifting.

    5. derstuka is right, lugging the motor (Under stress like starting out or up hills) is a lot of stress on your crank bearing & speeds up wear.

Flashing lights in the states also is a heads up/warning for opposing traffic that theres a LEO up ahead
So that wouldn't go over to well here as a "Hello"
doesn't take much energy for a simple wave, (harder to wave to a 6th gen but I still do :bootyshake2: jeees lighten up, I'm messing with you all :treehugger:).
