    Cute.

Listen, I was in a minor accident and had to lay the bike down, right side fairing is all scratched up. I've removed them and already started sanding and bondoing the fairing... Believe it or not the fairing was painted before on the same side I wrecked. It was always off and never matched correctly. In fact the right side was a matte red opposed to the glossy looking left side. It was terrible, but still good enough to sell until I scraped it.

I'm just trying to clean it up, make it look half way decent so I can sell her and get a newer vfr with less issues.

I know it won't be perfect, I know it will be noticeable, but I know for certain 100% that it will look better than a scraped up fairing with cracks in it. Talk is just talk anyway, I'm going to do my best and post the results up here. If it is really bad and I cannot sell the bike then i'll remove the other side and paint it as well to color match. Either way I was just trying to get a color close to OEM..

This is the answer I was looking for, thank you. My bike is worth $1,500 max on a really good day, a slightly different red isn't going to make the value decrease drastically lol :)

I was in the same boat as you. Did some plastic damage fix with abs plastic cement and a heat gun, then sanded and painted the thing. I had a big crack in the top fairing and the right indicator broken. It was a pain to get the fairing off since it has the lights mounted on it compared to fixing and painting it, lol. Glad I could be of help.

Man you are not kidding... removing the front fairing was a damn chore.

Been raining and windy here last few days... itching to get this fairing painted and see the results.

We saw some of that storm here in southwestern PA as well, not too bad though. Upcoming weekend looks nice and warm.

Here is a pic of the fixed and painted fairing. I have highlighted the painted part. Capture.jpg

I think someone needs to get laid. Always amuses me how people think a $1,000 bike needs a $500 + paint job.. sorry but rattlecans will suffice lol

Getting laid is important. The very act insures the propagation of the species in many cases. So will you be advertising the bike here?

I think you just fucked yourself..
