Chrome on a VFR

    That sort of thing really is personal. I have always liked contrast more than everything-looking-the-same, but that's me. I particularly like older automobile engines from the 1920's and 1930's that are well detailed, with aluminum, brass and copper against nicely painted major components. Then again, I remember seeing a supercharged small-block Chevy that was entirely chromed in a '23 T roadster, and I liked the way it looked, too.

    I had various parts of an older bike electroless nickel plated. Although they were tough to get fingerprints off of, and looked more "yellow" than regular chrome, they didn't rust or require a protective coating.

    So I would say do what you want.

    What no pics?! ...I think the VFRs respond well to a tasteful smattering of chrome; and its your taste that matters. Personally, the wheels and frame would do me...If I could see the subframe, I'd probably do it too.

    i could never do the swing arm. mine is constantly filthy. i ride and lube the chain too much for it to ever stay clean for more than a few days...:frown:
    just frame and wheels for me please.:thumbsup:
