I like my chicken strips with lots of meat so here's my first season on the stock rear @6500 miles:

I dropped mine on a gravel slope but it was when stopped. The case got scratched pretty bad but didn't pop open or anything. I don't know how they'd fare when moving. I don't think a good boot kick would knock them off (but I am not willing to let you try it on mine hehe).

Red - You do bring up some very good points, and as usual, have expressed yourself in a rather eloquent manner; however, note the original poster on this thread did say it was meant for fun.

Certainly a "newbie" may come to this forum and read this thread and think "oh my, I have to get rid of my "chicken strips". If that's the case, and if that's ALL that new rider can get out of this sight, then sadly, its already a lost cause.

There is a myriad of useful information on this forum. I know that I have changed my riding style, my view on safety, my view on other riders, etc., and it was all due to this sight. I thank my "unknown friends" for this, even if they don't know it.

We can only hope that some new guy doesn't come here, read only this thread, and feel compelled to ride in an unsafe manor because of his desire to remove the "chicken strips" from his machine.
