Norcal, sorry, to be clear, I am not looking to look you up. I want to place my order with easternbeaver and tell them to use your harness as a template.

I asked Jim if he could look it up by VFR sent to Santa Rosa, and unfortunately he couldn't. He needs your name.

but want what I do add to be done properly. Things like heated grips and hookup for heated vest, let me ride my bike more often, not less. Alarm helps keep it mine. GPS lets me ride the most out of the way roads possible, and not worry about getting lost. I don't want all those hookups to my battery. Would look like crap, but more importantly would likely lead to problems. Don't want to tap into various power wires on the stock harness, casue it would look like crap, and if something failed, could lead to problems with something important, like a headlight. By doing something like this, you put most of the connections where they are unlikely to harm the function of the bike. Now if the heated grips short out or something, I would just lose them, not the headlight or blinkers. You also aren't worried about what guage wire the factory used for something, and how much power they already carry, and how much power the item you are adding uses.

I'm with you - do it right, or don't do it at all. I just got my AP-2 Kit (with diode, fuse, etal) and six sockets (two front left, two front right, and two left side rear). With a trickle charger, GPS, radar detector, heated grips, heated clothing, cell phone, and who knows what other stuff, it'll be nice to have everything safely and neatly wired. Doesn't mean I'll use every socket every trip, but there will always be one handy when and where I need it. Can't think of one downside.
