Looks like they did a half-assed job at best. The vacuum slide boots are always a pain to put back together because they are stretched from use. I've found that a LITTLE silicone grease around the edge as you GENTLY put the covers back on (making sure they don't wrinkle or move, your pic shows one that shifted as they put the cover on) going SLIGHTLY left-right and right-left as you place the cover works for me. This is one reason I do all this kind of stuff myself-it takes a lot of time to do it right and VERY few places have that kind of attention to detail anymore. And yes, those plugs are to lean, what jets are in it?

132 Mains and 38 Pilots just as the stock specs call for. Ya i got some words for them. This ultrasonic bath better be FREE. I feel bad for bugging everyone over and over and over about the same thing. How was I supposed to know that the shop would do a worse job than me? I ACTUALLY PAYED THEM!!! Only shop in town I guess they feel they can do with everyone as they like cause without them you cant even get a motorcycle tire changed or its a 45 minute drive from here to find another shop! THEY KNOW EVERYONE HERE IS DEPENDENT ON THEM BUT DONT REALIZE I HAVE GOOD OL AMERICANS THAT MAY KNOW MORE THAN THEM HELPING ME ;) Thanks again EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM!!!

vMost people said it would be a Vacuum Leak or the Slides so i figured since I stood out in the dark and it was raining I better get it RIGHT or I'll be out there AGAIN!!! DO OR DIE. Its only like the 5th time im doing this in a row and havent got to ride my bike the way it should be ridden once since i owned it YET. When i opened the tops of the vacuum slides and the dang rubber wasnt even sitting right in the lip even tho i put it in there right I thought dang SQUIRRELS good!!! I just hope we got IT!. So with some silicone I can reuse them rubber boots in the airbox and dont have to spend more money? I mean they have shrunk alot!!! It would be GREAT if there was a way to save them!!! is there a way to test em before I put the carbs back on? It is very motivating when you actually think you may have found the problem. IM PUMPED!!! :)
