well, since we're still talking about speeding or alleged speeding.... I have a rant about unmarked ford contour with backwoods sheriffs pulling me over on a clear day on a highway with no other drivers in sight and I pull right over respectfully and have all my info out and ready and do not argue one bit and get a friggen ticket and a lecture... I wish there was an upgraded license for drivers so that they could lookat it and go, "Oh, he took the time to have his reflexes proven to be way above average and can stop much faster and maneuver much quicker than average...." But alas, such is not the case, so I am lumped into the same group with the 4000 lb SUV going over the limit that can't stop until next week. Also, Oregon's lack of a way to defend yourself from afar is remiss. It is my opinion, that my ticket was quite literally for income. I do not believe for one moment that the officer gave a damn about my safety. I'm sure most do, but I am quite convinced that if I hadn't had a CA tag, I would not have gotten a ticket. You guys can call me an ass or whatever, but that's what I believe. My father in law is a retired CHP and I know if he had pulled us over(me being a staranger of course) and we had acted just as we did, he would not have given us a ticket...
