Buying soon. Questions on touring, handlebars, riding position

Look at the registration and make sure the number matches on the frame AND the engine. I DO NOT meet sellers at unknown locations. Either meet them at their house or confirmed place of business. Always play it safe when you will be packing $1000's of dollars in cash. If you really want to play it safe, have the seller take it to a shop for a pre-purchase inspection and see if the seller will split it with you. If you don't buy, they know what to fix to make it saleable. If you do buy it takes a little bit off purchase price and helps you know exactly what you are buying. Everything is negotiable, right?
