It is hard to not want to hang with AM ... she makes it so easy to have fun and smile.

Hahaha. Somehow, I don't think she had enough space left on her bike for even those items.

It hit 34C (93F) today. It was so hot that even the wind was hot and not cooling us.

Time to relax in the shade and eat.

Ouch. That looks bad. I heard it was going to be nasty back home.

We had quite the thunderstorm here last night. We slept under the cafe pavilion last night in our tents with the bikes for protection.

So, my thread and AMs appear to have melded together at some point. Haha.

It was a little sad that the trip was coming to an end this morning. I had so much fun riding with my buddies, visiting with my friends at the RC Heli event, but the thing I enjoyed the most was hanging with my new BFF, Anne-Marie

I made good time coming back. I covered 531 miles to get home.

This was my home away from home for the past week. I bought the bike with 9,800 km at the end of last summer, and now have almost 22,000 km. I put approximately 6,500 km this trip.

Wow, that's a good day's ride. For me, anyway. Haven't been able to put on 12000k.m.'s in a year for a while now. You are fortunate.

Last year I did close to 30k. On both bikes. I think I'll surpass that this year.

I think that has me beat from my hay-days of commuting. If it doesn't,. it is damned near close. Next thing Jeff is to get 1000 miles under your belt on a day/night. Help will be there.

I hear you. AM has my best beaten and I was kinda sore after my 3 week 7,000 mile trip in 2012. Next years R3 might be a long one for me. Putting money away for that now and about half way there for the R3 part of it alone. I will have to clear it with work though. Wait! Fox Hat?

So awesome you made it back home well, Jeff!!

I thought the same thing about our threads merging, but only natural because my trip ended up merging with yours.

So glad you still had an awesome trip despite my tagging along with the moto!!

I agree with Randy...you should do 1,000 miles!!

Yes. We actually had Chicky show up once. My wife attended the first year I went, but she was my passenger. Scubalong's wife had gone one before too.

Nice! I'm shooting for a Death Valley-PCH-BC trip next summer. Could plan it out to make an appearance there.

This year we had the highest attendees of women since I've been going. However they were not Moto attendees. They were, relatives, friends and even Reg's boss but present just the same.

Kinda of depressed that this trip has ended ... I didn't want to end, I just wanted to keep going.

As I sit on this couch and type this, I can't help feel like I should be sitting in a chair near the fire telling stories and drinking beers. Clearly, I wasn't meant to be sitting on a couch. Since I got home, I can't stop riding. I've been on trips before and never come home feeling like I didn't get enough riding, camping, and fires in ... anyone else ever get that?

I'm already planning the next trip for this summer and can only hope that will be as amazing as this past trip.
