Are you running a power commander? You're gonna have A/F problems if you don't get it tuned to your bike.

Yes i am running a PCV. But even with the PCV disconnected i still have the issue, which may make sense since i have aftermarket exhaust etc.

I am not sure if an incorrect fuel map would cause you to drop from say 5k rpm's to 3k rpm's. I don't want to spend the $$$ to have my bike dyno'ed until I am sure its all in good order. I will have it dynoed once i have checked evertyhing.

I bought my bike used. I noticed a slight tapping noise coming from the exhaust recently. Perhaps an exhaust leak. I removed the heat shield, and saw that the clamps used that attach to the rear head look REALLY NEW. I also saw, actually visually saw, gases coming out of there when I revved. Not cool. So little things like that, I plan to address. Perhaps someone replaced the clamps but didn't put in gaskets? I don't know. but i will find out. BS like that can cause issues, and little issues add up to big issues, so I am throroughly going through my entire bike using the the shop manual, and learning alot and fixing things as I find them.

In the end, I am going to have a $10k VFR, lol ( I wish I was joking )
