Yeah you're right... they all have to pretty much look like that now.

Old junk. Original paint can never last that long.

Are these older Interceptors appreciating in value or not?

For example....what will this exact bike in the classified be worth 10 years from now?

Don't really know, don't really care. They make me happy and they are cool.

I don't really know cuz the last 3 to 5 years has been really wacky on used stuff. It will settle / normalize again. These bikes are heart string items usually. The guys that had them in High School are older, have money and are buying them. There's only so many nice ones left.

VF1000Rs have been ALL OVER THE PLACE price wise.

And is why purchasing a machine like the one in the listing at the asking price *might* make sense. A good investment that can be enjoyed by it's owner while the bike continues to climb in popularity and value.

    No?

Sure. Everyone can try. But don't claim "Excellent" and some slight patina that should be expected and then price it like it's true. Pretty sure that was what we had a problem with, not the actual bike.

EDIT: Sorry mis-read your post. That is not a "good investment" in my opinion. You would be paying what you want in the future, now. It's not gonna get any nicer sitting there. It's just not "that" bike that's gonna get big money later.

Or are you gonna restore it and be backwards in it fast?

I'll roll out next week, plug the exhaust and wash her down.

    Shame. Shame on me.

If you wait long enough a clean example of a 1000f will come along. At a reasonable price I might add
