1993 all white with a high mount or left exit exhaust. Then the White and black 6th gen.

6th and 7th gens are almost identical ... very little difference separating them other than the clear front markers and badging. I consider them the same.

"I think the 7th gen 1200 is the sexiest looking VFR ever made -- most won't agree with me and that's okay. "

I love the 7th gen looks. The front looks soooooooooo good.

The exhaust on 7th gen looks sick. I like it better than 6th gen stock exhausts. 4 vs 2 headlights too. The finish looks brilliant on 7th gen, maybe because they are still newer.

For me it's still the 88-90 RC-30 followed closely by the NR750. I like my first gen 500's but would love to get an 8th gen in white then paint it up to look like the 80's/90's RWB's.

The year when I was born. Hard to believe people still have these bikes in mint condition.

Maybe we're thinking 7th gen are different things?

I'm considering 2002-2005 as 6th gen .... 2006-2013 as 7th gen ... or are you referring to the VFR1200 as 7th gen? That would make more sense.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_VFR800

Technically ... there was no "7th" generation VFR800 so to speak.

Wiki aside( didn't click the link so don't know what it says), for most of us, the 6th is 02-09 the last year in the U.S. for the origami style body work. The 2010 VFR1200 is 7th even though it's not an 800 and the new 14 and on vfr800 is the 8th. Now we can get into the technicalities of why that is or isn't correct, or we can just accept it and move on. It's one of life's great mysteries.

I'm going to go with... mine! 6-gen, 2002, repainted in the 2009 white/black scheme. Looks even better with the CF Leo Vince exhaust I just put on, no current full bike pics yet... this was a month or so ago:

I'll go with life's mystery. I don't care which is which, just looking to find some parity. LOL

If we limit the options to the standard production bikes, not the limited build race specials or oval piston art collectibles, it's this,

I have always thought the RVF400's (NC30 & NC35) put the bigger VFR's to shame when it came to looks. Pound for pound, always punched above their weight with looks and performance.
