He might be kicking ass but he's still behind Haga for the championship, Valencia should be a great barometer on how the season will play out, my money is on Spies :thumb:

So Max hasn't changed much since he was in MotoGP; Rossi would spank him royally on a daily basis.

Nice to see Spies continuing his winning streak! :thumb:

Ben rode extremely well in 3 out of the first 4 races. He was "baptized" into WSBK very early on in race 1. But then comes back and wins 3 straight races.

But it is a long season. If he keeps up with this form, he will do just fine in capturing he first world title. Should be a great season to watch.

he looks very fast indeed. to leave 2 seasoned campaigners behind like haga & Biaggi is a true indicator of his potential.

bet haga wants his yammie back....hahahahahahahah

I hope Spies losses and losses big, he needs a good ass kicking. He flys into his races like a wannabe rock star with his girlfriend on one arm and his mommy on the other. He won't even take time to sign autographs, talk to or pay any attention to any of the fans. He comes off as a spoiled mommas boy with no respect for anyone. I hope Max puts him down hard!

Spies and Rossi are my two favorite racers. Would love to see Rossi and Spies go head to head. Rossi can hit a corner like no one else and Spies is no slouch, but he can do some amazin slides on the track. I am a big MotoGP fan, but the SuperBike riders do it like crazy - Philip Island is crazy!!!!

I think maybe he might have alot on his mind he has a job to do win races.. never meet the man but all I know he is American in europe never seen these tracks before; all these other riders grew up on them; so go BEN. Wonder what would happen if ben got angry at max and decided to put him down, bet he could..anyway dont they come to laguna?? yeah we'll see what happens thier .....after he wins this championship in his first year next year motogp nicky and ben gonna give valinto a run for the money...

WOOOOO somebody dont like Spies too much......I love it.

You probably got sick of the way him and Mladin made AMA into a bore-a-thon the last couple years.

What a talent......long as he stays upright he'll hammer WSBK.......I just feel for Nori...bet he thought this was his year with Bayliss retired.

Credit due when credit earned. I've met and talk with the kid, has a raw talent that he was born with, only thing I have a gripe with is his cocky attitude. I know it's racing, still he needs to bone up on his people skills, yep he's in Rock Star heaven and he knows it. It could a Ben show, but it's to early in the season.

taking time for your fans should be #1 as you see with all the GREAT riders.
Ben is just not up to par in this area and it is after all part of the job.

we can agree to disagree he gets paid to win races to sell motorcycles. I doubt there is anything in the contract and fim bonuses that says you better be nice to all fans..Maybe he doesn't have people skills but i watch him to watch his riding skills not to shake his hand as a total stranger and have a political discussion. I like nori also but the underdog is in the house and hes grabbin the bones..:thumbsup:go ben !!!!

Wish I knew the real reason Spies didnt go MotoGP .. probably didnt find a team to meet his demands. Now he's over in WSBK showing off. Bet there are some teams that wonder if maybe they should have ponied up. Over in MotoGP being a surly rockstar type wins you a fan base.......witness Pedrosa

Comparing Spies and peewee pedrosa is not even remotely related.

Spies is a hard core rider that is here to learn and win. Not sure why folks are blaggin on him for being a prick around fans. He's been pretty sociable from what I have seen. Maybe he's just being a bit more protective about who's around him. When you get to be that popular...the weirdo's come outta the woodwork.

Peewee on the other hand...he's just a tiny little prick with no personality. He's just a robot with flesh. :asshat:

+1 on that! The only fan base Pedrosa has are his fellow country riders in MotoGP. And personally, I just think it's the PC thing for them to do/say.

And just add some fuel to the debate, let's not forget the size/weight difference between these riders. Ben is a giant compared to the new "batch" of riders these days.

    Pedrosa - 5' 2" @ 112 lbs
    Spies - 5' 11" @ 160

In racing terms on a litre bike, those differences are huge.

I predict Ben will be in MotoGP by the 2011 riding season......for Yamaha.
