    I ended up just cleaning all the original parts and using them. The jets in the carb kit were questionable and did not have the correct pilot jet at all !
    The stock Honda ones cleaned up just fine and I know they are correct! The only thing I ended up using were the seals and gaskets, I am happy at least those are correct because the old dried up ones are very brittle! IMG_1413.jpg also that fuel inlet tee was extremely dried out and brittle as well, I broke that when I was just trying to free up the carb bank off of the motor! I was blessed to be able to find one as they are "unavailable" I think that one came out of Great Britain and was quite expensive.

    Ahh man. I think there is someone online that makes aluminum replacements. But that may have been just for the VFR/RVF. Worth a search.

    I initially thought that's what cracked on the CB-1 when I was chasing a fuel leak. Luckily it was not, but I was super paranoid about even handling it. It's the main fuel inlet for the carbs.

    There is an external "T" on the RC24/26/31/36 that splits the fuel from the pump to the Fuel Tubes and it will break if you just look at it wrong. I've snapped a couple trying to remove old plastic-hard fuel lines. "FUCK!" Of course they are "NLA".

    I had a leaking T on one of my other CB-1s years ago. That was fun to get to and fix...

    You don't hear cam gear drive inline fours very often. They are cool.

    The CB-1 is very much like a Hawk, and also not like it at all.

    Unique, good looking, not fast, but not slow. The ride experience is very different between the two, but you get there at about the same time. Both can absolutely embarrass much bigger, more modern machines on the right piece of road, in the right hands.

    You have to not be afraid to keep the CB-1 spinning above 9 - 10K to redline the whole time on a good road and it is a fucking weapon. Sounds like banshees announcing the death of your hearing ability. Especially with an aftermarket exhaust on it.

    "adjust" the pilot jets? You mean pilot screws? And Honda always gives you a way to adjust on the bike.

    Please explain.

    What are yours at? And why do you have to remove the carbs?

    {opens another tab to find face-palm memes}

    Pilot JETS are installed snug. They have to be or they would vibrate out and drop to the bottom of the bowl. Pilot SCREWS can adjusted while the carbs are installed on the bike. 2-1/2 out from lightly seated.

    Do you know what I am talking about?

    It is fuel mixture, not air. But, yes, that is the Pilot Screw. Just like your Haynes manual refers to it.

    Rule of thumb: Using the diaphragm needle as a divider between engine side and airbox side (straight down the center of the carb), if the screw is on the engine side... fuel screw. If it is on the air box side... air. Knowing what you're adjusting can make a big difference when trying to tune out something.

    Cheers!

    What did you set them at on the bench after having them out when cleaning/rebuilding the carbs?
