Kudda. But truth be known, I did not have evidence to the contrary. I don't even know the method of detection. If it was radar, knowing what I know, I might have raised reasonable doubt. If it was laser, and he was trained in its use, I was sunk. More fun to ride than sit in Court.

I don't condone using a cell phone while driving. If I use mine I pull over first, call whoever and once the conversations started drive off. At this point it's no different than talking to a passenger and for a "good driver" I don't see that it is a problem. The problem as I see it are that a large majority of drivers shouldn't have a licence as their skill level is zip. They weren't trained properly and their sense of what's around them is minimal. You only have to go into a grocery store and see the people I'm talking about.

I'm not a young person but I've had extensive experience in driving cars and bikes in a forceful manner, and training to go with it. Some old people don't become bad drivers just because they are old, they become bad drivers because they were crappy drivers when they were young, and a deteriorating body doesn't improve your abilities.

Combine poor driving skills and trying to operate a cell phone while driving equals a potential disaster.

I get the point of its difficult to operate a radio while engaged in a pursuit, but operating a CB is a lot different to actually trying to text on a cell phone while driving. One of the exercises that is taught at the Hendon Driving School. London, UK, is to do a running commentary as you drive covering everything you do and see. Anyone trying this for 5 minutes a day for a week will definitely improve their awareness of what is around them which gives an edge when something actually occurs.

Drove from dusseldorf to amsterdam, you wana talk about anally retentive drives, man i thought the germans marched in a straight line, the dutch are beyond them. Oh, the italians were the worst two wheeled operators i ever witnessed. Numbergering is the chit, specially in an all wheel drive car :loco: oh in the EU nobody is using cell phones, its gota be hands free, dont know if it makes a difference on being distracted or not. They don't have tyre pressure warning crap on the cars either. :peace:

Constantly amazed how many USA drivers don't know the difference between these two:

Have a few intersections around me that use the added lane. Having someone stop there and needing to lay on the horn is a constant occurrance.
