After sending all last weekend railing in the Catskills I am ready for a round 2. Anyone interested in getting together this weekend? I just got a PM from Steve and he rather be on that dam dirt bike than his VFR!! I am open to meeting points like the Dunkin Donuts in Sloatsburg or the Welcome center in the Poconos. I do not have a GPS so if anyone has the roads saved then bring it with you. I was going to call Brian (unless he posts) and see what he's up to.

DenT is still around? Nice to hear from you snapperhead.

And if you got yourself some shorty levers, then you don't need your pinky anyway.

Is all of VFRW going to get an invite to your bachelor party and wedding? Or did she smarten up and leave you finally?

Hey Dino - I just picked up an 03 VFR in Andover NJ last weekend @ The Cycle Exchange. Need to do some mods before taking it out on a serious ride. Gotta do the airbox mod and SS Brake lines to start. Hope we can get together another time.

.......................well that's a nice way to welcome him back......."snapperhead"? You can be such a toolbag some times.
You are right about the pinky thing though.
......................and the girlfriend comment? There's that thin line in the sand again.

Oh and by the way.......you guys don't need fancy parts to take dino out for a "serious" ride.

I prefer to look at a 20% chance of rain like this.......if you rode to work in it, that's your 20%. The rest of the day( MY 80%) will be sweet for dirt biking.....thanks.

What! You do not need MODS on your bike....just buy a Corbin seat and you are set. Save your money for a quality Jacket or helmet or both! What part of Queens are you in?

Wow I can't believe that I am agreeing with Dino. Upgrade the suspension is a good mod if you have the bucks. You would probably want to do that if you want to ride with Pocono!

Can't make it this weekend or next I will be riding with other people.

The mods that Emon needs are discussed in other threads. He's not real happy with the low end performance on the new 2003 he just picked up, especially since he does a fair amount of 2 up riding.

Randy - please don't ever agree with Dino. You know it'll go right to his head...

And I'm not sure if any of us will ride with Pocono again. Apparently he likes to spend all his time in the dirt.

Hey I am in Springfield Gardens, Queens. I have a Sargent seat on the bike and that is nice. I ride year round and need the bike setup correctly. I do a lot of out of State riding and I like getting back home. I am also planning on going to Florida - trying to make Octoberfest. So far I do not like the VTEC engine because the standstill takeoffs are pathetic which is why I need to make sure I am tuned and setup good.

............doode......if I'm reading this correctly your last two bikes were "R's".....yeah there is no hope for a v-tec in that crowd. The only gain you might and I mean might see is with a power commander and a good air filter. Other than that you can't change the fact that it's only two vavles a piston. Now you could go for the re-gear that has seemed to help out a lot of guys. Hey Randy what is your gearing set-up?

Hey I am upgrading from a 5th Gen VFR that I still own. I need more torque plain and simple. I gotta make sure I am tuned up good and then I am going to do the airbox mod and see how that works. I am not expecting supersport performance. Even with two cylinders I should be able to takeoff from a standstill with enough to pass a car or get up a steep hill riding two up. Right now I am not getting that type of performance which leads me to believe I need to make sure the bike is tuned up good.
