Norcalboy needs to learn that some of this racer stuff is top secret and what is seen on the net is just what the fast guys and the teams want anyone to see. Some of it is total BS too. Carefully planned or off the cuff just to see if dudes like Norcalboy will toss it up on the net like they have inside info..

Gman may get to do some MotoGP stuff at some point. At that juncture the rules change and proprietary information and speed secrets are not broadcast.

Another reason for the "secret" nature of racing at this level which includes WSB is that fans steal shit and there is sabotage.

One dude in my club had a thing for Joey Dunlop. Almost to the point of who knows what.. We were in Dunlop's pub and the guy in my club was nicking coasters. Joey says, "Does the mon never stop?"

None of the rest of the guys I was with were speechless. This was not the first instance. Also being taken were some bar towels. What momentos do you collect? Am I going to be sorry or disgusted I asked?

That's good. Wasn't sure if somebody was showing results for practices. Most likely the same feed we have. Teching a MotoGP bike or any racing vehicle is not that difficult. I'm sure you're aware there's rules for safety and class regulations. The safety is basically all the same. Class regulations vary. That's why we have spec sheets to follow on what to look for.

Somethings get tech before they go out on the track and others after sometimes in parc ferme. Such as, we took several rear tires and had Dunlop analyze rubber compound to make sure it is what the factory uses only. Looking for stuff like VHT is not being used or what ever. That's why we have teams tear down an engine of one of the podium finishers at times. Tries to keep the cheating down for the most part.

I assume you know all this and just asked for the ones that don't.

Your assumption is correct. What I was asking, which I did a bad job of communicating, Are you a certified FIM Tech Inspector and if you had done tech inspections on Moto2, 3, or GP class machines, which tracks had you done that at? Just wondering is all.

Holy shit, I watched the video before reading what actually happened, it looked to me like he was pointing to his front wheel or brakes...not actually hit his brake lever....unbelievable

Duccman this is about as close as I'm going to get to VR this weekend. Just the front of his garage from pit lane. My heart is shattered.

I agree. Three weeks is sufficient time to build it into something it wasn't by the peanut gallery.

I was there seated at turn 1. After some of the aggressive passes this season by Marquez, it was nice to see how he waited and made such a decisive move on Lorenzo. There were about 5 laps or so where he could have easily had half a bike going into 1 but he didn't move at all until the final move. World champion move. Nice to see!

That was a statement. Let Lorenzo do the donkey work, then broke his back. Just a little bit of mind games. It reminded me of the Alex Creville/Mick Doohan year that Creville won the championship.....Lorenzo doesn't really need to win, he just needs to have Marquez or Pedrosa finish between he and Rossi and he will take the championship.

Although probably more wishful thinking than reality, I was hoping that MM or DP would be doing the same for VR and keeping themselves between he an JL. I would really love to see VR get the title this year. Worse case a 100% on the podium for all 18 races, that would be cool too.

If he can just do what he was able to do at Assen, I.e. Pole position and the win, then no need to have the Honda riders in the mix to help him!

OTOH, he would be cool to see MM take all the final races, kind of like a bookend to last year's start.

Never posted a definitive opinion.. As far as I know, it still hasn't been proven that it was Canepa in the video, but keep barking.
