There are rumors circulating around the MotoGP press that Ducati are going to test an aluminum, twin spar frame at Brno. It might help the current handling issues, but those in the know indicate this will be an uphill batlle, as they have no historical chassis data. The Japanese have been using this frame design for many years, with great success. Ducati has a lot of catching up to do.

They don't have many engines left either. I can see Rossi starting from pit lane at least once this year.

Come on BB rumours and discussion are just there to fill in time on the can or stay interested in-between races, how about posting your own racing tidbit, fact or not doesn't really matter as we're all just space dust at the end.

    $.02 on the Rossi rumors...

At both Honda and Yamaha, Rossi was working with teams and manufacturers who picked his brain about how to make their motorcycles easier to ride - with huge success. I just don't think Ducati has that approach, and the result is Rossi is disappointed with his performance. It is pretty interesting that Rossi and Hayden have been so close this year, with Nicky outperforming Rossi as often as not.

Would Rossi be winning on a Honda (or a Yamaha for that matter)? Probably, or at least he'd be a regular on the podium. But he might just be approaching the point where a focus on WRC would keep his ego in a better place. Stoner, Lorenzo, Spies, et al may have caught up in terms of speed - perhaps because the deficiencies in the Ducati have worn the Doctor down. He's not a kid any more, after all.

Edit: and no, I don't believe he would have a chance in F1, with essentially zero experience on four wheels. WRC is as much about control of fear and a solid handle on reckless abandon as it is about precision car control.

and I went to CSS too - back in the day of GPZ550's :D

More like BS filling one's shoes or more appropriately, some unhip boots.

My favorite tidbit is from a Tshirt that states, " The older I get, the faster I was."

I am unhappy to hear that we are just spacedust in the end. I guess the virgin thing with millk and honey is out then. ;)

One might think incorrectly so, that if norkleboy had as much acumen, foresight and knowledge of what is going on in the top eschalons of professional racing he would get a new graphic and in both cases stop repeating himself. One might also think an original thought once in awhile might be a partial solution to cutting, pasting and using the professional journalist's work with not even a reference to a direct quote.

    Bad form dude..

So, did you get canned again? Did that panucha playtime catch up withcha? Not a great way to play catchup with ToeCutter. 5K for a blower is some serious bucks..

That approach was tried and failed, the ignore button works much better. The man is insane.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]Badbilly[5]

Funny in my case I feel the opposite is true or maybe it's just time that now feels faster.

If more folks in that part of the world understood it there'd be more appreciation for their own life and less willingness to end it for a lie.

Reminds me of Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. I guess I'm a Troll today!

    enjoy...

Bill & Ted meet Socrates - YouTube

anyways, I'm new to the motoGP and find myself curious about Ducati. I've read things talking about "victims" of Ducati, etc etc.

Is it just the Italians not playing nice with the riders?

I guess I'm a default Hayden fan (kentucky boy) and I find myself concerned...

Excuse my randomness to this thread have just been watching a brilliant doco series called "Wonders of the Universe" by physicist Brian Cox which is a followup of his excellent doco "Wonders of the Solar System". Episode 2 is interestingly enough called "Stardust" which is both thought provoking and puts our place in the scheme of things into proper perspective.

A lesson reinforced today, a buddy trading in his GSXR1000 for a brand new K1300S this morning pulled over and wanted me to have a go which I gladly did, only problem was when I stopped to reverse park against a steeply downwardly radiused curb realised the BMWs stubby spindly side stand was beautifully positioned to slip itself into a unnoticed hollow...

Luckly I held the tilting 250kg of brand new first ride K1300S at 70 deg against my left thigh until my mate parked my VFR safely and helped righting it, luckly he saw the funny side of my lesson learnt and a near disaster averted.

PS:- On the off chance you had an interest just noticed the "Wonders Of the Universe" Stardust EP is on Youtube although watching it in HD is better , Linky:

"Every" may be a bit of a stretch.
