Wow, not sure I've ever heard of a rider getting suspended for doping. Anthony West got put on suspension for a questionable substance found in a urine test.

I don't think its PED's but probably a recreational drug like cocaine. I bet a lot of the guys take steroids for quicker healing. I'm interested in the specifics as I had not even thought about PED's in the sport.

Performance enhancing drugs. Steroids mostly for getting bigger, stronger faster.

 

There was another Australian..... Anthony Gobert. Suspended in '91 for failing a wizz quizz when they found cocaine in his system. The "Go Show" was super talented, but ended up acquiring a certain liking for booze and heroin....I have heard multiple rumors from various sources, that John Hopkins had a little problem with pain killers, as a result of his myriad of off's and the subsequent injuries...but these have never been confirmed and John appears to be just fine, almost winning the BSB Superbike title a few years back. I really hope Ant West got rung up for something better than recreational drugs. He isn't getting any younger.

Barely, it's been so long and my memory is getting worse year after year...

 

Wow! Honda got hit with some bad luck at Philip Island, not only did Pedrosa and MM crash, Crutchlow had a nasty crash and now needs surgery, so he's out for this weekend for sure and then Pedrosa announced he has signed a 2 year contract to be a KTM test rider.

I have to say, KTM is really pushing to be on the podium sooner rather than later. Let's see how next year looks for them, crossing my fingers they find something and add to the battle at the front, Suziki seems to have found something, or perhaps that's just Iannone, as he topped FP2 yesterday.

 

That was a bummer, I went to watch race 2 of WSBK and it turns out it was cancelled. Not that Rae needed it, but if he had won race 2, he would have had the most wins in a season and the most points too. I think he was like 12 points shy of matching the most points in a season, although he did tie the most wins per season record with race 1 wn. Would have been an even more phenomenal season for him, if he was able to pass the number of wins and points in a season.

Nice! Moto3 looks like it’s going to be a race to watch. Moto2 is still looking like a Bagnia championship but as they say, anything can happen in racing...

 

Joker - RAIN

 

Well, the rain didn’t stop MotoGP qualifying and they are moving the race times up a couple of hours in hopes to beat the rain that’s predicted to fall, so hoping it isn’t like Silverstone...

 

I din't say they wouldn't race. I was merely saying that if it rains, it will certainly change the outcome, bet on it. Could be good for El Pescao if it does rain for his home GP.
