I miss Edwards too. Here is a funny interview with him in Silverstone.

I believe this was the last time I saw/spoke with him. It was at a D-Store event. That's his fiance, at the time, standing next to him.

BSB this weekend at Silverstone so praying it stays dry

Practice has been really fast, the McAms Yamahas are flying now, Josh Brookes was giving Haslam a hard time at the last meeting, Haslam crashed out big time, no reported injuries

    "
Josh Brookes surged to the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship opening free practice times as the McAMS Yamaha team locked out the top two positions, with his rookie team-mate Tarran Mackenzie just 0.061s adrift as the contender had their first experience of the National circuit configuration.

An incredibly close session saw the top 18 riders covered by just 0.897s and it wasn’t until the final moment that Brookes leapt ahead following a session that was red flagged mid-way through when championship leader Leon Haslam had a huge crash at Brooklands.

As the McAMS Yamaha team hit the top of the times, Andrew Irwin had fired the Be Wiser Ducati into third position, pushing James Ellison back into fourth place with Richard Cooper completing the top five despite a small crash on the leading Buildbase Suzuki.

Tommy Bridewell had held the top position earlier in the session but he held sixth place eat the chequered flag with Michael Laverty edging ahead of Bradley Ray. Glenn Irwin and Peter Hickman completed the top ten with Danny Buchan, who is bidding to make a position inside the top six, holding twelfth.

Showdown Six contenders Christian Iddon and Jason O'Halloran ended the opening session in 16th and 18th respectively."

Looks like his team released him from his contract. Lots of harsh words towards him and many are calling for a ban from racing, not just a suspension of two races. He has released an apology statement but I don’t think it’ll be enough to change how people feel towards him or get him another contract, at least any time soon. Definitely not something that should be treated lightly. We’ll see how it plays out I guess.

Race 2 is null and void in my book, the only person to come out of that race as impressive was Christian Iddon who had a broken and dislocated collar bone, he couldn't make the distance in Race 1 but held on and took 5th in Race 2

Things got off well with Bradley Ray on the Suzuki with the McAms Yamahas of Josh Brookes and Taz Mckenzie hard on his heels, the race was shaping up to be as good as Race 1 then Haslam slammed into Ray, almost having him off as he took 3rd, Race Ditection told him to move back 1 place, by now Ray was 8th so he was fucked, Haslam ignored the instruction until he was in the lead then grudgingly waved Jake Dixon thru, Taz came with him, but Haslam should have moved back to 4th, not the 2nd place he took, not impressed Leon, that's cheating in my book, play the game or fuck off

To add injury to insult Hickmans bike had blown up 3 laps from the end, he got it off the track quickly but both Dixon and Mckenzie slid off on the 2nd to last corner, in BSB if the bikes been down you can't pick it up and finish so DNF s for those 2

Was there fluids down from Hickmans bike that caused the 2 to crash?

Not the first time he's done it either.
