Anyone else talking RACING?! <--- of the motorcycle type

I hate to say it but look out for Lorenzo this year. It would be funny if MM starts fucking with him like he did to Rossi. He might go into the fetal thumb sucking crying position. I would bet that Stoner on a new GP could take another championship and break a lot of records. What he did on that pos Duc was nothing short of amazing. It was a bucking bronco that looked like it was going to crash all the time.

 

When Rossi was on it, it did.

 

In the movie 'Hitting the Apex' they basically said that Stoner was starting to suffer just before he went to Honda and basically the bike was a total POS once Rossi got on board. Essentially it was slowly getting worse with Stoner at the helm and it was showing, as Stoner was doing worse and worse after his Championship. Is that true? sure does appear to be so. Sounds like they are going in reverse order now and making the bike better and better.

 

I sure do hope so. It really SUCKS for Rossi, if, as they said in the movie, that Ducati was blaming Rossi instead of taking responsibility for their bike. Really stupid, because imagine if Rossi won the title on a Ducati, what that would have done for the brand, globally. If it's really true, then it was the single stupidest thing Ducati ever did.

 

Yes development was getting horrible at Ducati. That's why when they hired GG he cleared house. The Italians in the prior situation would not listen to feedback from the riders, stoner first and Rossi second. And Rossi was very good at feedback to his engineers. They just would not listen. He would tell them what he needed them to do to the bike. They would say "no you must change to the bike". Total bullshit for development.

 

Can’t wait for the new season.

Pretty early still. Marquez laughs at Rossi, even Agostino said he will break his championship record. If Honda does finally straighten out their engine situation, it will make it even easier for him to wipe the floor with the rest of the field.

 

I don't think anyone will beat MM this year but I do expect JL to be very competitive this year. Ducatti with Gigi running it is light years better than when Stoner, and Rossi where there. I think he found something at the en of the year and its coming together, he was very scrappy in several races lsat year, on the podium 3 times.
Should be a fun year.

Cal looked good too.

 

The key to 2018 will be all about consistent podiums and zero non points scoring finishes. I believe if you dnf more than twice and finish off the box four plus times, you won't get there. If Honda comes out of the gate with a win at Qatar, the others will be chasing for the rest of the season.

 

I bet MotoGP is not far behind.

 

I hope that Moto GP is a bit more 'edgy' about this and says bollocks to getting rid of the girls and BSB as well
