I'd be surprised if they even let him ride again this yr.......

The guy is such a bundle of contradictions, not well liked by other riders, and full of crazy ideas that its hard to make a call between him being a lovable eccentric or a menace to racing.

I like him, he's just goofy enough to appeal to me.....but not enough to make me watch a reality TV show.

Situations like this tend to be handled on the racetrack and from within the riding community itself. I am a big fan of Danny Eslick, but I think the rest of the guys are going to make it difficult for him this year. Ultimately, what goes around, comes around.

Hahahaha, that's seriously funny chit! And probably too close to the truth...

You know, funny that the two AMA series that have BY FAR the highest ratings and biggest money are ArenaCross and SuperCross; with SuperCross being the second highest rated motorsport in America, right behind NASCAR. Ironic that in the sale to DMG, those two series stayed with LiveNation promotions, instead of going to DMG. Makes me wonder, if LiveNation successfully tapped into the same crowd, and have been very successful, why the AMA didn't court them taking on their other series, instead of bending over for DMG. There are a couple articles out there by former AMA folks, talking about how bad of a deal it was with DMG, how little the AMA got for it.

Unfortunate that LiveNation couldn't have gotten the deal. I do think DMG did a good job of cleaning house last year, and the series improved. Hopefully they'll continue to improve.

I'm sorry BZ, but I like Honda, and Suzuki, can stand Kawasaki, but for some reason I've always hated Yamaha; the brand, company, riders, all of them. Funny thing is, I couldn't tell you why, I mean for the whole thing. I know why I didn't like the King, or Hurricane, or other's; but, don't know why I dislike almost all of them. I'm guessing it's just a Chevy/Ford kinda thing.

"As this is written, Michael Beck, Bobby Fong, Steve Rapp and Clinton Seller do not have rides in Daytona SportBike--or any AMA Pro class--for 2011."

"DNA Energy Drink/Roberson Motorsports is scaling back to a single rider, Jake Holden, this year, leaving Daytona SportBike race winner Bobby Fong and 2010 AMA Pro SuperSport West Champion Joey Pascarella without rides in AMA Pro Racing."

"Fong won the closest road race in AMA Pro history last season at VIR, finished on the podium three other times, led at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca but was not re-signed by the DNA Energy Drink/Roberson Motorsports team."

    This is just an atrocity...

and if you want mainstream coverage, that's where we have to go. look at what harley did to the cruiser market. they somehow managed to get a harley on every block and made the avg businessman suddenly a motorcyclist. now if they can do that with racing...

They should partner with Nascar and have at least a few races each year on the same weekend with the stock cars.

Unless maybe Nascar doesn't want to share it's enormous fan base because they're tired of being ridiculed for only turning left?

Well put Bear. If I had any advice for JRP it would be "Choose TV or racing; you cannot have both as you cannot serve two masters".

Just read MotoGP test articles. Honda in the top four spots! This could indeed be an interesting season.

Not a bad set of picks 02 VFR Rider. Here's my guess:

    Pos No. Rider Bike
    1 7 C. CHECA Ducati 1098R
    2 4 J. REA Honda CBR1000RR
    3 3 M. BIAGGI Aprilia RSV4 Factory
    4 96 J. SMRZ Ducati 1098R
    5 17 J. LASCORZ Kawasaki ZX-10R
    6 50 S. GUINTOLI Ducati 1098R
    7 84 M. FABRIZIO Suzuki GSX-R1000
    8 11 T. CORSER BMW S1000 RR
    9 41 N. HAGA Aprilia RSV4 Factory
    10 91 L. HASLAM BMW S1000 RR
    11 33 M. MELANDRI Yamaha YZF R1
    12 66 T. SYKES Kawasaki ZX-10R
    13 58 E. LAVERTY Yamaha YZF R1
    14 52 J. TOSELAND BMW S1000 RR

Although I think Eugene has a chance to surprise. I also think Melandri could shock everyone. I also think Smrz, Lascorz and Guintoli may not be ready for primetime, so I may be going out a bit on a ledge with their spots, they could drop outta the top 10 easily if they can't stay consistent for the whole race... How's that for hedging my bets?

^^^^ my picks are more of a wish list.
It could be anyones game when the flag drops.
I would really like to see max take it but he doesn't seem to care for that track.
Haga I thew up there cause I was hoping for him to take the championship instead of pie guy the year before.
