Yes super bike has not been as fun this year. Moto 2 while better is a little off too. But moto3 is still the best racing. 4 wide in corners........... Nuts.

Did you see VDM over shoot the corkscrew? Now that was a mistake! A real lucky one too, went right in between two riders, a split second sooner or later and he would have t-boned one real good. Based on the season so far, the Kawasakis and Ducatis are always out front, it's been rare to see the Honda on the podium but it happened a few times. This last race the 4th and 5th were behind the top 3 with something like 11 seconds, so yeah more like MotoGP now.

Yeah I saw VM do that. Not sure how much skill to not hit anyone or just sheer ass luck.

Been watching the Tour de France every morning, you got to give those guys some credit for racing down hill at 60 mph on tires less that an inch wide, wearing nothing more than spandex underwear! No ATGATT there!

Watching Chris Froome descend to win Stage 8, the commentator mentioned Froome watched Rossi race to learn how to corner better!

Yeah, racing on those bicycles with this tiny tires is crazy.

    That's funny about Froome.

Looks like Zarco will be joining the Tech3 team next year. Looking like quite few new comers to the MotoGP class in 2017.

A friend (member on here LDH) worked the race. He brought Wyane Rainey's and Freddie Spencers bikes for display at the race. Muzzy's bike too. Cool old bikes.

I'd love to do this again. Last year was great. Would have really liked to see Nicky get his podium in person this year. Maybe and this is a BIG maybe, he'll have that RVF 1000 that Honda keeps teasing us with patent registry stories...I know, I'm dreaming. Regardless, would still like to go next year. Let me know if you can get the time off work again.

Sweet! Always enjoy walking the paddock and looking at the previous generation race bikes, as well as the latest ones too.

It was cool seeing Nicky on the podium with an American flag. Next year with a new bike..... Could be a regular contender.

For not having a competitive bike as the Kawi and Ducs, NH and VDM seem to be doing alright. I will agree having a bike that is more on par with the forementioned, he could be right up there.

Kind of reminds me of Johnny Rea when he was on the Honda. Now he is a world champ on the green machine.

Van Der Mark was asked after the race if he felt the power difference the Honda had was putting him and Nicky at a major disadvantage, he said the power of the Honda was more controllable than the Ducati or Kawasaki and it was only on longer tracks that they were losing out

He pointed out Nicky having such a good position in race 2 as an example "for sure we can always use more power, but not like the MotoGP Honda"

A very diplomatic way of saying Nicky and I can't win on what we've got but we don't want it uncontrollable like HRC are currently producing

During the unseasonably hot and sunny weather during practice and race week at the TT, lots of the top riders had time to try a lap with the bike giving the most power that could be squeezed out of the engine

Only one person chose to race that type of engine, Michael Dunlop on his BMW in the Senior .... Hutchy chose the softer tuned motor from his Superstock, he admitted that the choice had cost him the race

I thought Nicky said in a pre race interview that Laguan Seca was suited to the the Honda more than any other track

I listened to Huthcy's interview about his bike choice. Though I think Michael still would have won. He had a chip on his shoulder from his prior disqualification.
Laguna being smaller and more technical was good for the Honda, other tracks.... not so much. Next year.
