Any gen VFRs in northern CT/Central Mass area

I live about 5 miles from the Erving/Dunkin Donuts in Sunderland. Just across the bridge on Rt 116 south, heading toward U-Mass.

Last time I met you was at the BBHoF but I would rather meet up in Belchertown.

Quabbin entrance sounds good.

 

just to make sure Chris, it will be the third entrance on your right if you take rt 9 from ware.
the MAIN entrance where the State Police building is, look for the big SP sign
I might want to meet you there earlier so we can make it to the meeting stop by 9:30 ish

There are some nice roads that cut throught the Wendell State Forest but the speed limit is like 35 and they do patrol it w state cops. Wendell is definitely in the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful and quiet but quite removed.

PS I'm like 80/90% on Saturday, long as it's not raining.

 

well SP must be new, the town when I lived there would not allow the state police to patrol in wendell. I own a WRX and have done some major blasting at high f'n rate of speed thru wendell many times.

What a coincidence! I have a 05 STI with a bunch of goodies and custom tune. About 100 HP over stock as I recall from the Dyno run a couple of years ago. I also have a set of 18 inch high perf wheels for the summer and an extra trunk lid with the wing. Right now I am going wingless as I felt it attracted too much attention. Every time I looked in my mirror there was a cop just following me. I am selling the car in a couple of months when my son graduates from college. Gonna get him a car for grad, but not an STI that's for sure. Interested? The car only has 42k.

I spent some time in Wendell also. I live there in 2000-2001. There are some nice roads headed up into New Hampshire. My time will be slightly limited on Saturday. I need to be back in Westfield around noon. I'll see you all at the exit 24 stop. I will be the guy on the VFR...

hey guys, I lost my sweeper ( viffer2003 ) but I will see everyone at the meeting point except for Chris in Belchertown.
directions from 91north exit 24 deerfield take right at end of ramp straight thru 1st light, 1st gas station / dunkin donuts on the left. (91 south take left at end of ramp.)
anyone else who wants in meet us there at 9:30am (ish) we will prob leave there at 10ish.

Hey guys, sorry I missed the ride Saturday. I spoke to 02 Saturday night and sounded like a good ride though. Had some crap blowing up at work so I got stuck dealing with that most of the day. Stud the tires - one more this year?

Chris and I stopped and had some BBQ on rt 2 then headed out to Greenfield, then thru Wendell to rip up some moutain roads before riding back on rt 122 where I split off onto rt 32a to head home and Chris continued on rt 122 to head home as well.

not sure if we will get another chance this year to ride, but for sure it will happen next spring.

Hey Kevin. Sounds like you and Chris had a good ride after I had to leave. Maybe we can squeeze in one more ride, perhaps the week-end of the 14th. BTW sorry about that all that loose gravel I took you on. Nice scenery but not the greatest road conditions. I recall many days last year in November in the 60's/70's so think positive for that one last ride. Nice to meet all of you. Chris, I appreciate you're coming all the way out here from Worcester.
