I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy a set of Conti Road attacks.....I love my Metzlers/Michelins, but 10,000 miles out of a front? Yikes...me likey!
We stopped by Cyclegear at lunch at they had the new Pirelis (Rosso?) for the same price as the Dunlop Roadsmarts. How do you think they would hold up for mileage? Action
Action: Hmm...if I had to guess the Rosso's are not sport touring tires so milage will be lower. I'm on my first set of Corsa's so I don't know how long they will last? Actually I am running the Diablo Corsa III on the front and the regular Corsa on the rear becasue Pirelli does not make the DCIII in a 170 rear. But so far I am very happy. I think the thing with RVFR and me is one he rides ALOT of twisty backroads and I've begun doing track days and the VFR is pulling street and track duty, so I wanted a tire for that envirionment. If the bulk of your riding is commuting with some "fun-spirited" cornering I would think any of the sport touring tires would give you exactly what you are after. Long life (for an MC tire) with great corner grip. As a friend told me: "Dan, once you put true sport tires on a bike. You will understand what you have been missing". And trust me, friends in DE picked on me saying crap like "When you ordered your tires did you ask for a tire that can do track days and get 10,000 miles?" lol BZ
