Wow, Kevin Schwantz..have not heard that name in a while. Met him once, great guy.

He took a Sunday off in 1988 and raced in an intermediate class Hare Scramble race I was entered in here in Texas.

Stomped all of our asses on a bone stock RM250, and then signed autographs for us adoring fans.

I heard a rumor later that Team Suzuki was not happy with him being in a local amateur race, especially a race with a bunch of us scrubs!

    He was valuable property!

^^^ thats awesome! I bet Schwantz was nicer than when I met Mic Doohan. He was my idol until I met him. He did not appreciate his fans. So bummed. Luckily Nicky stepped up to the plate and reinforced my adoration when I met him at Seca after he won his first race. Shook my hand and signed my shirt right there while he was trying to escape the Honda tent and...well his fans..lol

This is what my bike will be similar to (note - this isnt my Pepsi bike). I managed to find a rare Vance and Hines 4 into 1 header and mid pipe, and have the same SCProject muffler for mine. (slip on's dont exist for the 93/94 bikes they have an odd ball exhaust system that doesnt lend well to a slip on and there were only 2 companies making the full systems (V&H and Yoshimura both are hard to find now). Got a custom set of Yellow "34" number plate decals made up too, and a set of Pepsi decals.

First gotta get her running right though.

Here is mine, in its ghastly '93 colours. Some manufacturers got the splash and slash graphics right in the 90's. In 1993 Suzuki wasn't one of them.

    Yeah... Pepsi treatment needed bad.

I wore a Schwantz helmet to my first Freddie Spencer's School. Freddie and Nick Ianatch gave me some shit on that one. But on the last day I brought my original Spencer Arai Supervent for him to sign. They are now both up on the "retired" shelves in my shop.

Oh Rogue... you gotta do something to get the late 80s Trifecta back. NT650, VFR750/700F, CB-1.

Yeah me too! Already have the NT650, VF500F, need the CB-1 now. Unfortunately they rarely come up for sale around here.

I prefer the '93 for two reasons, the swingarm and the removable subframe. I have been eyeballing the earlier GSXR's for quite awhile now. The 750's go for much bigger money than the 1100's.

LOL, yea, the removable sub frame. Apparently you just use a Saws-All.

Re the CB1, I bought 2 1/2 of them this year. I kept one and sold the 1 & 1/2 (frame and parts).
