I've actually got a chance to ride the world's greatest 6g and it's not like any 6g you've ever rode, damn thing felt like a well dialed in track bike and the VTEC was almost non-existent, and that was before the engine work

I have to completely agree with this. I also rode the "world's greatest 6g" before the mods and I wanted to sell everything I owned to make my bike just like it. The suspension wasn't even dialed in to someone who weighs probably a good 80 lbs more than NCB but the bike carved far better than it should have. Smooth doesn't even begin to explain the attitude of the bike. The VTEC was just a rush of smooth power; no jumps, bumps or clunks. Can't wait to see if he'll let me ride it after the mods are done...

With all this raving about this bike, Mr. NCB better come clean and post up a list of ALL the mods he's made to his 6G. Curious minds want to know!

And maybe, if we are really lucky, the idiots over at Honda will see this post and get some good/real ideas for the 7G!

you are CRAZY.. if oyu think that Honda is gonna listen to the populace about how thier bike should be made...besides, if they made the bike the way NCB is , its gonna hit 20 grand easy......I don;t have that kind of money. maybe one day

I'll give him kudos for the work. -- I guess its the engineer in me. For the price of the steering damper and the extra stainless brake lines, it would have been all to easy to keep the internal fork mods and then throw on F4i lower fork legs with the stockers, get equal or better braking, and loose 4 pounds of unsprung weight hanging on the forks.

Ok - I confess, I have been itchin to see it done.

    MD

Damn - I gotta get out there and ride with you guys!

After getting a chance to know NCB, I'll wager there's a better chance of Carmen Electra sucking your Penis than NCB coming clean on his mods

The steering damper isn't just worthless bling. The revised chassis geometry makes it a nice item to have. I am within 17oz's of the 4 pounds already.

Oh come on. Leave me to my own world. I like the colour of the sky my world. Ya big meanie.

It is quite clear that Honda doesn't listen to us. Look at the Fury, DN-01 and NO new VFR model......7 years and counting....tick, tock.

As for the 20 grand.....I don't know. NCB hasn't posted up a full list of his mods YET!

Seven years in counting... eh... I'm sure Honda would justify this with a, "But, we updated the VFR in 2006, so technically its only four years..." lol Theres always 2010.
I would be happy with 30 hp and the same diet plan that they gave the cbr600 and 1000... It would be the perfect bike!

I totally agree. +30HP and a good diet for the VFR would be a great bike.

OK, so I finished up my VFR project and wanted to pop up a few photos so that everyone can see that i wasn't bullshitting for 7 months

Well, there it is. Maybe someday I might throw up a list of everything I've done during the whole quest, but that's for another time. Have a visceral 6g day
