Gawd!!!! What a honda-abortion, scooter with an endocrin disorder, totally disgusting bike. Try doing a front tyre change on one, just assinine crap/flip side I read somewhere that they used them as EMS vehicles in Switzerland.

Shift like a farking man fer gawds sake, 3000 rpm is nuttin, we would get tight bikes in like that and rev tune them and when they got picked up the owners thought we were gawds. when all we did was blow out all the carbon and run it like a raped ape

I disagree, if there is a pedestrian around or an old lady or a school zone, my tranny and gear shifts come first...Thats how dedicated I yam, I simply must match high RPM to gear changes....conversely, you could just ride in 1st gear and wait to intelligently shift to 2nd then 3rd,,,,forgot what comes next. Anywhooo... I bet dollars to donuts that you got a nice tight bike (no-homo-inuendos) it would loosen up after I had my way with her :tounge:

This thing runs like crap below 2K rpm's, or 3K rpm's for that matter. I now have 740 miles on my new VFR1200, and I prefer to cruise between 4-5K rpm's - 5k rpm's is where she's happiest on the highways. I dumped the oil at 600 miles and switched over to AMSOIL 10W30. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed this bike!
The next move is to pitch these stock OEM Dunlop RoadSmart tires, then get some Continental Road Attack 2's installed - always liked Conti tires, especially when I had my VFR800 which had the Continental Road Attacks. ('Sport Mileage' version)
I am not too crazy about the way she runs at idle; it's a little rough and seems a little unsteady, but that's probably because she is still new?
After the tires, a REMUS Hexacone high-mount slip-on exhaust will be installed, cause this stock exhaust is just too darn quiet and gives me the impression that it is creating substantial backpressure? In my opinion, this bike simple needs to be able to breathe more.
