This weekend I rode several new Triumphs: A Speed Triple several times (loved it), Daytona 675 (fun and light), Bonneville SE w/after market cans (surprisingly strong pull in all gears), Thruxton (nothing here for me), and America (piece of crap in my humble opinion). The Speed Triple is very, very tempting, I liked it that much. Oh, and I rode my VFR, to which I'm very attached, but she needs a companion. Hmmmmm.

To me, the Speed Triple handles significantly better than my VFR (as does the 675 Daytona), and is much more confidence inspiring. Do I need to do some work on my Viffer?

First post here - hi everybody! I just purchased a 2006 VFR and am really enjoying it (and enjoying VFR World).

Knife, don't even think twice about the Speed Triple. If you have the money just buy it. I have a 2007 (bought new in '09) and it's the funnest bike I've ever owned. The new ones have a few improvements of course but I'm love with my '07 and have no complaints. You absolutely can't go wrong. I sold my Suzuki TL1000R to get it and it was the best decision I ever made. If you have any questions about the S3 just ask. I'll answer to the best of my ability. I'm sure there must be some other S3 owners on the list as well.

Any thoughts on the Sprint? Appears very similar to the VFR. I've rode the Scrambler, the Rocket III, and the Tiger 1050. Doesn't look like they bring the Sprint on the demo truck.

    Buy it.

If you find a Street Triple on offer buy that too.

Of the 10 or 12 different bikes I've ridden in the last two or three yrs those two were, without a doubt, the most fun to be on.

They had sold their last Tiger 1050 a few days prior. I was looking forward to riding the Tiger, but no go this time. I do like it.
