There's an idle screw on the right side of the bike in the frame. See the attachment for illustration.

Basically once you get the rubber thingy off you insert a phillips screwdriver and twist to whatever idle you want.

This is true. I think i might opt for a 520 chain conversion, more aggressive gearing and an upgrade to a PC3 if it were mine. Still wondering what kind of power it's putting down.

get a baseline dyno for us. ASAP and then begin modding.
youre a lucky bastard and you already have the 98 header.
so if i were you i would order a new header gasket kit and a high mount slip on of your choice.
as soon as that comes in i would have the header and slip on mid pipe jet hot ceramic coated in flat black. (header wrap sucks)
then get a bmc filter and pull the snorkel and/or flapper.
pull the pair system and evap canister.
get a pc3 and maybe stack with a pc2 (if you can find one in good condition) so you can advance ignition timing for more power.
then have a full dyno and tune done and show us some fucking numbers already! lol

ps plus one on the 520 kit. id like to see how much whp the lower rotating weight actually frees up...

So what's the difference between a 98 header and a motad header.

that its already on youre bike! lol
aftermarket headers are a fucking bitch to install.
my first motad wouldnt clear my center stand at all.
the second one they shipped me almost cleared it and then i had to dremel off a little bit of material from the stand so it would fully raise to the rubber stop.
i had to deal with not being able to turn w/o hitting the stand for a month or two.
performance wise they should be the same. as the motad is not a performance header, its just a catless factory replacement. (in stainless)
and itll be shinny for a few days too! lol

    lol yeah dont.
the only performance option is made out of pure unobtainium...
the two brothers racing left exit full exhaust. ( NOT A SLIP ON )
id give my right nut for one of those. and then worry about the fact that i have an under seat exhaust later lol

This PAIR system only applies to California models, right?

The PAIR system is installed on all bikes, not just the CA models.

The RC30 parts are fairly hard to come by. I wonder how difficult it would be to make a Ducati spindle fit? Those have single nut attachment and would probably be easier to find. I'm not sure if the wheel would match, I guess is depends on the year you steal from and how picky you are about it matching the front.
