Man that's a good deal on those shocks. I never would have guessed they were that cheap. That is great. I will definitely pick one up and the springs also. How much are people paying for the vtr forks? From what I have read those are the easiest to adaapt to the vfr? Do you know if the vtr forks are that much better to justify the work involved? Seems like I have heard or read of some rc 51 forks being fit onto a vfr. I bet that would be a real nice set up what with the rc brakes also. I'm going to read over your threads on the shock swap now. I understand with the 929 shock you have to fabricate a spacer to add an inch in length ? Thanks again for all your advice. I really appreciate it

I know nothing of the VTR forks and haven't heard of people swapping them. Swapping out the front on the 5th gen VFR is further complicated by the linked brake system. Not only would you have to change the front forks, brakes, wheel, but you have to dick with the rear too.

    Best wishes and good luck

No I was just kinda wondering about the swap of the front forks. After doing a search on the front forks it came up with several threads where people have swapped entire front ends. I think I would just get a sportier bike before I ever got that extreme. But for 50 or 60 on the shock and some front springs sounds like something I will do. Thanks again for your help
