The real question on the Ape is what are offered in larger wind screens for it. 400 miles of that little stock one would get old quick for me. But then coming out of a turn leaving a nice blackie and power wheelie............ Hmmmmm.

Ok then back on track. Unless one goes to the trouble to do a tune between the headers to get the best out of one vs the other, doubt one would be able to tell much. but the numbers say, if you're into that sort of thing the bit larger tubes on the 98-99 flow better wich should translate into a better performing engine. Thing is the 00-01 was tuned for the header Honda installed. So spitting hairs here. How many do a re tune on their 00-01 vfr after a header swap?

Why are you spitting hairs? What were you just doing? Are they curly or straight?

The size of the tubing is only part of it. Look at the difference in the front headers. The 00-01 cross over like the 02-09, so not sure how that affects tuning, particularly if using the O2 sensors. Sorry to be adding more noodles to the spaghetti...

Headers at the top of the photo are off of my 01, the lower ones are off of a 98-99 (Not sure of specific year though)
