86 vf500 upgrades.

    Just run the 84-85 carbs as they are - do not change the jets or anything like that. It will be just fine. Enjoy!

    Thanks Jamie got them put on today now I've gotta clean the tank and replace the fuel line and it should be good to go

    So I've got her now and went through a lot on it over the past few months. Sat for a long time from the guy who bought it and in the meantime had both sets of carbs stolen from his shop. I got a new set and rebuilt them, thought I got her road ready only to have it try to run out from under me (saw 8k RPM once when I cranked it). Troubleshooting now.

    Replaced choke plungers, slides, diaphragms and intake boots in an attempt to attack all possible vacuum leak angles. She officially is running again after a nearly decade long hiatus.
