84 vf 1000 pilot screw ?

    Those are California carbs, just the one brass spigot is normal. The picture of that cap covering a hole is what we are talking about. That needs to be removed and underneath is the pilot screw. Look for one like that in the same location on each carb. They should point towards the center of the engine, instead of out, on that model if I remember correctly. I can look at mine later.

    Will look into that and take better pic.Now is making some sense. The bike came from Oregon to mass where it was bought. Once the plastic was removed got rid of all vacuum plumbing, check valves,canisters and tossed them.Less junk less.weight.

    Thanks to all the members of this forum that kindly gave advice to my trivia or lack of knowledge. CAPT. You hit the nail in the head.I look at the service manual the is nothing regarding Ca. carbs.One more question. The bores opposite to the pilot screws, do they stay open or plug?
