It would be sweet to get the wheels polished, then anodized bronze, then clear coated.

Using paint or powdercoated chips to determine what a larger area is going to look like as a finished product can be deceptive. Mixing or overlaying can be even more deceptive. The powder (fuseable materials) in "powdercoating" ain't all the same stuff.

An example is painting the walls in a room using a paint chip that is maybe an inch square. The wall area is maybe 400 sq ft. Usually the result is something like, "Holy Shit!, what have we done now!" , or quoting Oliver Hardy, "Well this is another fine mess you've gotten us into."

^ Exactly. funny how that is luckily I know this, when the so called black ice powder came in, the sample paint job didn't show what the photo was about, so he clear coated it and wouldn't ya know, there was a chemical reaction, turned a burnt orange weird even he hadn't seen this one. So now I'm splitting hairs here with it being what could possibly be the right color, whats right is a personal opinion.

Well,,,after a lot of this and that, trial and error and all, finally went with a color, thing is it doesn't photograph just how cool it is. It's more than just white. in fact the guy that shot it says, wait till you see it in the sun. Anyway, I'm pretty stoked to have half of this in place. Should have it all mount up tomorrow. Next is the front, but while it's a part, I'm having Jamie work his magic on the forks too.

Prismatic has it as a light iridescent sliver white called Cosmic white. Then a clear coat was added, The guy doing the work did that part on this own saying besides giving a bit more protection his thought would give it more depth, Wow, did it make it pop. Now to get that tire on with out messing it up.

;) yea it pops all right, it also has a slight pearl hue which I wasn't expecting. My son came by just before I set it up and there was a bit of sun so we ran the wheel out in it know it won't last long. , and whoa, takes on another shine, brings a bit of the silver out. in the shady part it takes on a bright silver, should be a fun color, now I can't wait for the front. Now as it went to get mounted up, took it tot the local Honda place and they couldn't get to it for a couple days, they too said leave and we will get to it as soon as possible, I said Nope. Then remembered the KTM shop yep they jump on it and actually where impressed with it, so they took extra care in it all, not a scratch. whew!! they'll get all my tire work.. and while I waited I played on a 1299 Super Duke they had on sale WOW! now there's a bike and a half, and they have a SSSA too. That engine, talk about a double thumper. Wow what a motor, still not as good as our 5th gens, but damn close.

Nice, the sun came out for a quick few, so I wheeled the Viffer out to get a good look. Nice, Kinda like the black front, white rear now that I'm looking at it ;)
