Replace the cap; they don't last forever. Spring is tired or rubber seal isn't good enough. First thing to try.

I found a used cap on ebay (20k mile parts bike) for 2.95 and it shipped for 8 dollars total. Hopefully this solves the problem.

between the cylinder banks. It's a pain in the ass and I can almost guarantee that is where the problem is. How do I know? I have had to replace all the radiator hoses and o ring seals within the past year.

pga: try and get the Bike nice and hot....make sure the fan cycles, and give the engine some revs to get the Water Pump spinning.

You can take a look inbetween the Cylinders for the cross over tube. I've seen leaks there aswell on previous bikes (Hondas I might add). I've also had a HUGE coolant leak from an improperly attached Rad cap. (not my fault, I might add)

I would have spent the extra $$ on a new rad Cap. You can't know for sure if the used one is good. It could have been sitting around for awhile and dried out the seal.

Do you know what coolant smells like? The "hot-coolant-is-leaking" smell? if so then you shoudl notice it if there's a leak.

As for Tinker and beta's bet.......

The "new" rad cap solved the problem. I did replace the crossover tubes anyway with success. I haven't used any coolant in over 1k miles. Where would I find a new replacement rad cap? I wouldn't mind slapping a new part on for piece of mind.

Side note : just turned 35k miles and she's running like a beast, perfectly. Love my bike.
