Bummer. Anyone got an '86 700 Pearl for sale? If I can't find one, then I'll just axe the 500 & 1000!

It was Blue/Silver, I wanted a 87 and mine was stored/unmolested 22 years and had only 5K miles, 87 had more refinements, I was doing a restomod, I ride it allmost everyday so I did it the way I wanted to and RWB is my favorite.

Lookin good! I had some of those 3 spoke CBR F1 wheels on mine at one point. they're lighter than the F2's.

Just want to say while one might be opposed to upgrading or modding their bikes, riding around with 25 yr old rubber brake lines just won't cut it.

I wouldn't say that changing the brake lines is a modification per se..... more like a safety upgrade

which is EXACTLY why i just bought a full set of Galfer steel braided lines for my bike off of eBay just yesterday! I cant WAIT to see how my bike brakes with the new EBC rotors, EBC double H pads, and Galfer lines that are about to get installed on the bike when the F2 wheel swap gets done!

My wheels are 94 1000F 5.5 rear 6inch overall rim width and Hurricane 1000 front. Had to mod a 1000RR countershaft sprocket to get chain clearance for the big rear.

You'll love it, once you get the pads and rotors bedded in. Gonna feel like a completely new ride with the radials on it.

yea that plus the cartridge forks and rebuilt shock from JDM, i expect it to ride like a new bike (god knows im spending enough MONEY for a new bike on all this). but at least itll still have the personality of a 2nd gen, just a monster of a 2nd gen. ;)

Chris, these things are really awesome with those upgrades. I've ridden modern sport bikes, even owned a few. My Gen 2 is a pretty close match for any of 'em in any 'real-world' riding situation. On a track it's likely different; but we don't ride on a track every day with these bikes (do we?). Take the time to dial in the shock and forks and bed in the new brakes. The bike will be better than you are.

That rear looks pretty damn good. What size tire is that looks pretty beefy in the pic.
