So...........I do believe that I recognize this place. Looks to be On Highway 101 in Southern Humbolt or Northern Mendocino Counties on the South Fork of the Eel River.

    I live in Willits.

If anyone gets the chance be sure to try the Covelo Road ( Highway 162 ) which leaves Hwy 101 15 miles north of Willits. Unless you want to ride some dirt road it doesn't go through to anywhere which results in few Black & Whites. But after you ride it out you will be glad that you have to ride back the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of those "Best MC roads on the planet"!!!

This is definitely something to look forward too huh? oh goodie goodie. been on the fence with Laguna, been working it to see if a Infineon track day might be in the works around those dates.

Ben is defiantly going, he will have the same Race Tech/Penske suspension as we do, so that's three 5th gens that are confirmed, hopefully a certain 4th gen rider will come out of semi-retirement from riding this year and ride down with us, the only thing we really need is a member of the Sixth Gen Militia to show and represent

I'm up for it as long as it does not conflict with MotoGP or with my other motorsports photography schedule.

Laguna at the very least....though I went to Philip Island in 2004 and 2005 with credentials. That was way cool....I may go again this year.

Also be covering WSBK at Miller.

    Here's a shot from PI in '05.

that's a cool picture. I haven't got the official confirmation on my vacation time yet, but they better be giving it to me. I did Laguna last year and the norcal trip. The trip was better to me, but I have always been one who enjoys doing more than watching. If I do LS again, it'll just be going the day of the race and then heading out (probably after GP skipping SB, etc) that way I can avoid most of the traffic. I may not even go, though, as I got my tix free last year. Now if I get free tix again...

I'm so up for this, as long as my self employed work schedule doesn't get in the way.

This ride sounds like lots of fun. Let me know where and when and count me in. A buddy of mine lives in SLO, but doesn't ride a VFR, can I invite him anyway?

Ok, so here's what going down as of today. I'm looking at leaving mid to late Aug to leave for WA. I'll be slabbin it for 2 days to make RWs house. Then the fun begins. Anyone who wants to go, chime in. So far I am pretty sure that the original 3 form last year will be there, and SLOav8r (Dan) is a definite maybe. SLOVFR(Brian) is another possible form here in the central coast. If some of you socal guys want to ride up and rest at my place for the night then head out when I leave, we should be able to make that work, too. The pace to get to WA will be just about 10 above and short rest periods until we make the night stops. I carry no comms gear so it's good old hand signals if you gotta pee. It should be a good time for those who can make it, though. For those who just want to jump in when we get to certain areas, we are going to try and keep a log on here (I'll try to get Michael to keep a direct link up on the homepage) again so you know where we are and can jump in for parts of the ride. We'll also give out cell #s when it gets closer to time.

Reads (sounds) like a lotta fun.
The sooner I can put in my request for vacation the better. Sometimes takes a month or more to get approved/denied.

I am all for the Nor Cal parts. I just need the dates before the end of the month before.
(partial high-jack...is the 5G brotherhood organized, or can I claim it if I own one?)

Initiation for new 5g brotherhood members

    1. Convince KC-10 that San Francisco is one of the most interesting places in the world and he should have lunch in the Castro district.

    2. Read a Nozzle post and tell us if green bud was evident

    3. Be able to recite all of NorcalBoys modifications

Just kidding, 5g brotherhood is a group of 98-01 VFR riders and open to anybody, you won't find any threads, patches or active recruiting on the 5g brotherhood, it's just a bunch of riders convinced that they made a wise choice on the VFR...

Castro IS a wonderful place. You meet the Nicest people there, with FABULOUS sense of style.
5G Brutha-HOOD!! Don't ask anyone in Castro to see their patches.
