That pole is a nice phallic touch and the pink wheel tape really go together well.

Portrait is usually not a format that works well with calendars. Landscape usually works best.

What's with the vignetting? you doing that on purpose?

i have a cheap ass camera and i dont even know if its in auto or not. how can you tell from the pic its in auto mode?

again i am not sure how you can tell its in portrait... i am open to any tips you guys have. i used a function called "old camera" (on the computer) as i thought it looked pretty sweet but this is why i was wanting to get some opinions as i am not even close to a photographer. i wanted to get some ideas as to what looked good and what didnt.

i had the camera set on sunset because... wel it was sunset but i see the landscape function. does it help the quality of the image? i flat out just dont know alot of this stuff.

    Morgan,

Basically "landscape' the photograph is wide and short like the one directly above. Usually the natural way to take a photo with your camera. "portrait" is tall and narrow, as in your photographs in post #47 further up the thread. There you had to turn the camera on its end to take the photo. An un-natural way of holding your camera. I usually get the fuggen strap in those photos myself. I am not a great photographer either. But a white bike, or anything white is difficult to take pictures of. The nice thing about digital cameras, you can go out there and take all the pix you want and there is no cost to you until you start printing them off. You can play with different programs and overcome some of the brightness of the white, but that usually adversely affects the back ground colours to some degree.

My opinion, for what it is worth, post #56 is not a bad shot. Only slightly bleached out. But I think if they were to select that one, they could digitally play with that enough to make it a fine candidate. Had you put the bike in that instance on its centre stand, the angle of the back lite sunlight would have caused more definition on the shadowing effect on the fairings, and taken some of the bleaching effect out of the white. Armchair quarterbacking. I am good at that.

    BTW. WHite bikes suck!

I think the picture you submit will be changed as needed anyway. The photo of my bike in the 2010 calender had the post supporting the helicopters cropped oot so they looked like the were in flight.

Take a look at Crusty's pix for more on what not to do. Pix with really nice tits in them work well for most of us.
