It happens to me as well. I'm not too terribly worried about it. I figure there's just a glitch in the gallery post tool or something. Either that or it's a conspiracy to make everyone else and their VFRs feel inferior to Yellow 5th Gens...

When I uploaded them last night they were perfect, but when I checked this morning my pictures were from Citrus Sinensis who lives in Portugal...

I don't know what is happening, but is not my fault.
I try to upload my own photos and this is what happens.
In fact I have one of my photos under someone's else name.

If anyone can correct this, I will be very pleased.

It also had happened to me. Not a yellow 5th gen, but a red 5th gen in the midle of the prairie, with some horses in the back (of the picture, and not of the bike).

Hey guys I posted photos back when there were only around 20 and some of them posted twice that is why some of the same photos are up more than once. Something has been wrong with the calender set up from the begining just try again. That's what I did.

I realy hope this is fixed before the final judging! I would hate to loose a spot on the calender because of a glitch!

Well, it's obvious that the new software we are trying to use is just full of bugs. It's a shame, because unfortunately it's the only software on the market that does what this does. There's no way that it can be "fixed", because the software is just poorly written. So, that leaves us with two choices:

    1. We can continue to use the software, because it IS working to some extent. If you look at the top votes, they are all great photos, which tells me that the software, even though it's frustrating, is capturing the most voted photos.

    2. We can do it like we did last year, using the regular VFRworld photo gallery. The problem with this is that you can only vote for one photo.

I'm assuming that everyone would like to discontinue using our existing software, so unless anyone has an objection, we'll setup a new area. You'll need to re-upload your photos, and start voting again.

    Thoughts?

You know I see just two problems with it as is. Photos double posting and photos being posted under the wrong photo name. As long as the votes are for the right photo and you know who that photo came from. My vote is to let it ride. You have to contact the winners in the end anyway right?

It sounds like there will be some issues no matter which direction is chosen. I'd go with what will give the least amount of trouble in the long run. Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with the software and it's issues other than what's been said here. Perhaps it can be put up as a poll for the members to decide???

Okay, for now I decided to keep the contest in the buggy software, and I did some manual cleanup. It's clear to me that there are some photos with the wrong title and owner. Don't worry about the title and owner, just vote for your favorites. Once the finalists are selected, we'll figure out who the correct owners are and update it.

I also added a link on the main page, so now it's easy to get to the calendar photos.

    Go vote now!
