 I think that is a great idea. I will have to send in some neat pix. Maybe I'll be voted on in the over 50 catagory!

I just thought of a great idea!! Instead of one photo per month, why not have several photos (possibly 4x6) on each page of different generations. We might be able to accomodate many members.

    Just a thought.

I call October. I'll try and get a photo of my buck on my VFR! Now if I could just stop missing them I would be in business

Keep those pictures coming! We now have 28 amazing VFR pictures in the Contest Gallery, but the more the merrier! Remember, they need to be very high resolution so that they can be blown up to poster size. We'll accept entries into the contest for another couple of weeks, and then it's time to VOTE! This is going to be one amazing calendar, my friends!

This may be a dumb question, but is this really how this color looks in real life? Or is this an enhanced photo of some sort? If this is accurate, HOLY CRAP!!! this is the nicest shade of red I've ever seen on a vehicle. I've seen one of the 919's in this color but it didn't look this deep or lustrous.

I've seen this colour on a 919 as well. I think the difference is related to lighting. When they take this sort of photo they always set the lighting up just right. Also the 919 doesn't have as much painted area as the VFR, no fairings. Still I think it is a great colour anyway and it would look awesome on a nice sunny day.

    Only one vote?

It's too bad we only get one vote as there are so many I'd like to see in the calendar. Ideally, we would have been able to vote for our top 12 and the 12 photos with the most votes would make the cut. This way, there'll probably be a couple with a lot of votes and a smattering of others making it hard to tell which ones really make the cut.

    Just a thought...

I agree, if it were up to me you'd be able to vote for 12, but the software doesn't allow that, and it's not something that can be changed. Maybe the next version of the software will have that feature.

I think we'll just stick with the voting as is and see what we end up with. I'll send out the final list of pictures and see if everyone is happy. :)

WOW! Almost 50 photos in the contest so far! Keep them coming. The deadline for submitting your photos to enter into the contest is Monday, November 20. Once all the photos are in, then we'll start advertising for voting. If we can get at least 100 people to vote, then we should have a pretty good representation of the photos that we, as a community, want to see in the calendar for this year. If there are any close-calls, we can certainly have a run off of just a few photos to finalize the selection.

We'll vote for approximately two weeks, and the calendar should be ready around December 4, in plenty of time for your holiday shopping!

I just want to thank everyone for participating in the contest. I think we're going to make a very nice VFR calendar for 2006!

We have a lot of 5th and 6th generation photos for the calendar. How about some earlier generations? It would be great to mix in some classic models to add variety. Anyone have some high-res photos of earlier VFRs that would look good in our 2007 calendar?
