I have thought about carrying a bag od bolts, or something like that. Even thought about the water/oil mix. Then thought what might happen to other people using the road at that time when fuck nuts panics.

@ Duc. And a little off topic, I tried driving semi. Was basically behind the wheel for 14 hours with a couple 20 minute breaks a few days ago. Took copious quantities of T3 to even start to take the edge off. Back injuries are telling me I cannot do that. Shins, calves and feet are still twitching and cramping up even today but it is settling down. The good news, I am putting insurance on the bike tomorrow. Yee haw!

@ calsdad. I rode mine for several years with stock bars. I have never noticed any discomfort with hands and wrists with the stock. But I did get quite a deal on a brand new set of helirisers and after storing them on my bench for a year, put them on. It does make some difference. Maybe a big difference to many. But I think the issue you are running into is that you may be gripping that throttle far to tight. In turn, you are cutting off circulation to your hand. Understandable. The soft grips may help that way too. But I think you should go on many short rides, just around the neighbourhood, while concentrating on your grip. Eventually, I think you will develope the feel for the right grip, and a lot of what you are going through will go away.

As for the Vibranators, I have heard absolutely nothing bad about them and many compliments. I just might get those too. Just to see if maybe I am riding less comfortable than what is possible.

I just don't understand everyones issues with the stock handlebars. I have no problems whatsoever with OEM; like others have said a light touch goes a long way. I have ridden up to 600 miles in a day with no problems.

I tend to agree with you. I was never bothered by the stock, but got such a deal on the helirisers, I could not resist. I did notice a more comfortable ride with the helirisers, but if I had the benefit of today's experience and knowledge, I would not have bought them.

But I have heard from many who have experienced a far more improvement that I realized by making the change. I guess everyone is a bit different.

That's exactly right somebody over 6ft sits more upright and doesn't have to lean forward to the bars. Before I fitted the helibars was getting ache across the top of my shoulders'as I was having to tilt my head back to compensate for the forward lean.No problem now.

Glad to hear Roy. Hope you had a good ride today, I did. Just to the coast for brunch. Took all canyon and side roads, then up the coast to check out the hotties running along the PCH. Challenging watching traffic and joggers, lol.
