2006 Leftover VFR

Are you kidding me is there even a doubt in your mind. Cancel the deal.

If it were me no matter what deal you end up with I would always wonder.

 

Allshot, I think you got taken for a loop. Paying anything over 60 grand for this bike is just highway robbery. :bootyshake2:


My Advise? Buy the bike, it is sporty, fast, fun, easy to tour with and ride 2 up, and pay between 7 and 8 K. You will love it! :strong:

 

So I just spoke with the service manager and this is what he had to say: Timming chain tensioner was the issue, ordered a new one that will arrive tues. He says there has been other incidents with this part on other VFR's. The sound was the timming chain slack against the tensioner. Im still on the fence now, a little wary but I like the bike and the deal. I usually dont buy extended warrenty's but maybe.....:unsure:

 

Tell them to make it part of the price.

 

I want to say thank you to everyone here who helped. I have cancled the deal on the 06. I made a bunch of calls this morning and found a guy who wanted to sell me an 08, got a great deal and Im very happy! Should be here in a couple weeks, he had to get it from a Honda wharehouse.:strong:

 

Sorry you missed a decent deal with the 06, But glad to hear you are sticking with the bike in general. Hope all works out well.
