Being a doc, you would understand even without knowing first hand. Seem I left out Doctors. They should be added to my list of those whose profession I have tremendous respect for. Dealing with matter such as you describe must be difficult and at the end of the day you may ask "Why do I do this?" But then the next morning you are back there again. Pain and suffering on someone else's part, when you arre part of the team to assist, is a difficult thing. I dealt with it on the short term. Doctors deal with it on the long term. My doctor has been absolutely grand with me through some troubled times with injuries and a suspicion of Cancer that did not materialize.

    Thank you DANIMAL

We (Canadians) were the vendors. Why would we want out National Police Force interfere with our bountiful export business? That is where the "Free Trade" idea all generated form.

Now all we need to do is get your guys onto Metric Beer.:tea:

I would not mind photo radar on say a corner where there was a lot of crashes and it proved eefective....but going down a hill where the speed changes from 80-60 is just a cash grab.

    [/QUOTE]

I don't agree with this comment at all. There is a big hill close to where I live with a divided road with two lanes each way. The speed limit is 50KMP. Regularly people come down that hill at 100 plus. The problem is there is a little hidden parking lot at the bottom, right at a slight bend in the road. Visibility for people coming out of the lot is limited so don't tell me it is OK to speed down a hill because its a hill. I am surprised that nobody has been killed here. There are reasons for speed limits and just because it is little more difficult to slow down on a hill doesn't mean it is OK to run 20, 30, 40 over the speed limit. For crying out load vehicles have brakes and they can stop you no matter how steep the hill is. Now I don't want to suggest I am a saint but if you break the law just pull over, take the ticket and pay the fine. I just don't get why people knowingly break the law and then complain about being ticketed. The left turn thing on the other hand I probably would have disputed as well.

Sorry for my rant...i do relize i only see cops when something is wrong...

they do good work and i do respect them...it is easy to forget that they deal in a world i can't imagine.
I can't imagine it because i don't live that life, i don't lead that life because of them.

    so thanks.

    also to the topic.

I can see the need to chase on occasion because if the police never chased....everyone would run.
but they need to do so in a way not to risk others.
seems like the cops took it to far in this case, but they did stop and set up the road block as they relized that the chase was dangerous. A review is a good thing so in this case i think the system is working.

I still wounder how come the cops don't read the plate and show up at his house...it was a speeding violation, so the guy needs to report his bike stolen and charge his friend..or pay up. sure there must be some loop hole i'm missing or this issue would be over.
