    I just bought a 1986 VFR750F with 2600Kms.

It's got a bunch of race mods and the 17" wheel conversion is already done on it!
It's my first VFR and I gotta say - this is one heck of a thing. I'm excited to get it up and running.

Last thing to do in the restore is to get the tank serviceable. When it's all together I'll post more pics! vfr7501.jpg

i might have liked u but now i hate u. that darn thing looks pristene!!!!

JEALOUS!!!!! the 86's had the most pwr btw - 105 - went down to 95 in the 90/91's - ull be glad to know! :) i suggest getitng the iridium plugs - these things dont like ANY plug issues. the iridiums need 5000v less to spark which overcomes ALOT of spark issues. I struggle to get mine running well for 2 whole days - swapping coils etc only to find the plugs were a bit old.

awesome dude - really bloody awesome.

Oooooooo... good call on the plugs. I wasn't going to look at them given the low mileage but I'll pick up iridiums and swap them before I light it up.

    Thanks!

I bought this one in super crappy condition late 2011 as my first motorcycle. Last spring I repainted all the fairings white, then this spring I removed the rear fender, recovered the seat (might do that again), replaced the rear indicator lights, filled and painted the tank, and bought and painted a chin fairing. Now it looks great! :D It could use a good cleaning in the engine area and a windshield but I'm averse to spending a lot for an oem one, so I may try my hand at a custom windshield. It's been a fun project. White or bronze wheels may still be in the future too.

The 1986 VFR750 lives! Finally got her running and insured and on the road! First tour was yesterday. Blew a few people's minds when I stopped for coffee, when I told them it only had 2700 KMs.

Needless to say I am VERY happy.

1985 Honda VF750FF Interceptor Owner, Again!

I purchased a new non-current in St.Albert Alberta in June 1986, for $4300.00 cdn.!About $3200U.S. at the time. One of the best bikes I have ever owned. When I saw another 85' for sale, with 4500 k.m.'s on it, I had to get it! It is apart right now, but will once again run! bikes in the garage 2012 (9).jpg
