I don't get on here as much as I want and usually don't have a lot of time to actually write.

Simply astonishing! The custom work and improvisation is stunning. Do you do this for a living? You could, you know. That's too nice to ride, but too nice not to - what a conundrum.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

    Cheers,
    Glenn

The bike is a prime shoe in for that Brit Magazine that is seeking "Practical Sportbikes" .

There is a fraction of VFR owner/riders that are loath to change anything on one including a decal either giveth or taketh away... IMO.. Stockers Suck! There, I said it again!

To build a bike like that and turn it into a trailer queen should be a felony punishable by being locked up in a Harley Botique for a week with six dudes named, Mad Dog.

Super nice build!! I'm not keen on street fighters in my old age but yours looks fantastic. Just one glance at it and you can tell tons of work went in to it, very good work and long hours I'm sure. The paint for the fork tubes is amazing it looks like they were anodized. Did you have to use a clear over top?
Like a lot of your ideas. That's half the battle right there. You're a man after my own heart. to have all the tools available to build a hot rod bike or anything you want. Super job my hats off to you. Next time I'm up in the Catskills I'll have to look you up and see this bike in person.

If I owned it I would ride it more than all of my other bikes combined. Being naked though would definitely bring out the hooligan in me and I would have a hard time not lifting the front wheel. That is until I got one of the wonderful $1000 tickets they give out down here. lol

Thank you. Are you asking about the vinyl, or the carbon cloth? The vinyl is 3M brand, you can find it on ebay.

Seb - you ever consider throwing an 8 spoke on her?

Don't get me wrong - she's a work of art as is. But for my lack of design abilities, was just wondering what you thought.

I considered it, yes. But believe it or not, I like the 5 spoke better. I even have an 8 spoke wheel in the garage. I just prefer the 5, and the fact that it matches the RC51 SP2 front.

I finally carved out a few hours the other day to clean up in my garage and fix the naggy little things on this bike.

I replaced a few hose clamps on the (now finished) oil cooler lines. Replaced the petcock in the tank with new oem part. Replaced the ground interrupt switch for the keyless ignition.

Pulling the carbs now, so I can replace a few hose clamps on the t-stat Samco hoses, one end of one of the hoses is leaking.

    Pics...

And a butt shot. lol I'd like to do gold wheels on my VTEC, but I think 3 bikes with gold wheels might be too much??
