    Seller/owner's comments:

Welcome to the auction of my 1987 Honda NSR250R also known as the MC-16. I’ve owned hundreds of motorcycles in my day but never could find a decent two-stroke sport bike. Almost all were Japanese domestic market so even decent examples were always lacking US ownership documents. When I found this NSR I had to have it. It was all there. It had a VT title, with the exception of some hardware all the original parts were there, including the stock expansion chambers. All unmodified, which was a must for me. I began to sort out any issues like cleaning the tank, carb tuning, tires, brakes, cables etc., and replaced what was needed. With OEM parts of course. Starts right up with a little choke and idles and revs like it should. Note on the cold start it’s a bit warm these days in South Florida so the ambient air temp was in the 90’s, hence the “cold” temp of the pipes on the laser reader. What a blast it is to ride. At around 7000rpm-8000rpm it really comes on the pipe. It’s by no means a museum piece aesthetically, but a simple makeover would fix that. I had intentions of a makeover and ordered a couple of decal kits and replaced a few that were missing. The rest will come with the bike along with a few used parts that were replaced. I’ve enjoyed it immensely but time to move on and thin the herd for my retirement. As always I’ll be here to answer any questions you might have so don’t hesitate to ask. Good luck to all!

It's the same buyer who drove up the price of that RC24 last year so high. This time it added about $2K in the last few minutes...lol....
